Cancel in the right place

Billed by Netflix (card or PayPal)

  1. netflix.com/cancelplan -> Cancel -> Finish Cancellation

No cancel option shown

  1. Open netflix.com/account and look under "Membership"
  2. Follow the link there, or contact the payment partner named on that page

This happens when a TV, phone, or broadband provider bills your Netflix for you.

Just want a break

  1. netflix.com/account/membership/cancel -> choose to pause instead

Paused for 1 month, then it charges again by itself.

QuestionAnswer
Billing cutoffCancel any time before your next billing date. If you cancel mid-period you keep watching until that period ends. If your account is already on hold, cancelling closes it straight away.
Access after cancellingYou will not be charged again unless you restart the account. You keep watching until the end of the billing period you already paid for, and netflix.com/BillingActivity shows the exact closing date. If you have a gift card or promotional balance left, Netflix keeps running until that balance is used up. Switching to a TV or broadband package that includes Netflix? Do not cancel — link the account instead and you keep your profiles, My List, and downloads.
Third-party billingIf a cable, mobile, or broadband company bills your Netflix, the cancel button may not appear. You have to cancel through them.

Before you cancel

Signing out of Netflix or deleting the app does not cancel anything. The cancel page is the only way to stop the billing.

What LemSubs does

Why no bank connection

Every other tracker on the market — Rocket Money, Mint, Bobby, Trim — asks for your bank credentials through Plaid. LemSubs does not. You add subscriptions manually, forward a receipt, or import a CSV. Your bank stays your bank.
