|---|---|
| Input files | PDF with text, CSV or QIF |
| Excel or Google Sheets | Download CSV or Excel (XLSX) |
| Older Quicken-compatible apps | Download QIF; check your app version |
| Apps that accept OFX | Download OFX 1.0.3; check your app before importing |
| Scanned PDF | Needs OCR first; a bank CSV export is often clearer |
How to convert your file
- Choose a PDF, CSV or QIF file from your device.
- Check the rows and amounts in the preview.
- Choose CSV, Excel, QIF or OFX.
- Download your file, then import it into an app that accepts that format.
Which format should you use?
Use CSV to check rows in Excel or Google Sheets. Choose XLSX for a formatted sheet. QIF suits older Quicken-compatible apps. OFX suits apps that read OFX 1.0.3. Check your app version before you import. Keep the original file so you can compare dates and amounts.
What this does not do
This tool does not connect to your bank or make new bank statements. It does not write a PDF or read Excel or OFX input files. A scanned PDF needs OCR first. If rows are missing, export CSV from your bank and try that file. Check the preview before you use the result.
