Split Every Shared Subscription Without the Spreadsheet
Add named household members, split any subscription by custom percentage, and let LemSubs keep a running settlements ledger across currencies.
What goes wrong today
| Problem | Detail |
|---|---|
| Who Pays What? | Streaming, Wi-Fi, groceries delivery — nobody knows who's owed money this month |
| Awkward Settle-Ups | Tallying shared bills in a Notes app or DM thread before payday |
| Unequal Usage | Two people on a four-person plan but everyone splits 25/25/25/25 anyway |
| Currency Mismatch | Someone paid the EUR bill while everyone else thinks in USD |
| No History | Can't remember who covered Netflix three months ago |
| Lost in Spreadsheets | The shared sheet drifts out of date the moment renewals shift |
| Forgotten Family Bundles | AppleOne or Microsoft 365 Family quietly covers tools other family members are double-paying for |
| Cancellations That Nobody Owns | When the household payer travels, renewals go through because nobody else can see them |
How LemSubs handles it
- Household Members: Add each person once with avatar, colour, and notes
- Custom Percentage Splits: 70/30, 50/25/25, or any combination — default to even splits if you prefer
- Settlements Ledger: Running balance shows who owes whom, with mark-as-settled actions
- Multi-Currency Aware: Splits respect the subscription currency and convert to your base
- Per-Person Monthly View: Filter the dashboard to a single household member to see their share at a glance
- Bundle Modeling: Model AppleOne, Microsoft 365 Family or Spotify Family as parent bundles so children aren't double-counted
Frequently asked questions
Do my housemates need their own LemSubs accounts?
Not for splits — household members live on your account. If you want each person to log in and edit, upgrade to a Workspace.
Can splits be uneven?
Yes — set any percentage per member as long as the totals add up to 100%.
What about currencies?
Splits respect the subscription currency. The ledger converts to your base currency for clean settle-ups.
Can I share renewal alerts with my housemates?
Yes — upgrade to a Workspace so each person gets their own alerts. Splits and the settlements ledger work without it.
