Rocket Money, Monarch and friends: is there an API or MCP server?

People search for these every week and get GitHub repos instead of an answer. Here is the state of each one, the day we read it, and the source we read it from.

At a glance

QuestionAnswer
Rocket MoneyNo public API, no official MCP server
Monarch MoneyMCP connector, marked beta
Copilot MoneyAssistant and MCP in waitlist beta
MintClosed in March 2024
SpendeeNo supported public API

Why unofficial servers are risky here

When an app has no API, someone builds a server that pretends to be the app. It logs in as you, or borrows the cookie from your browser session, then reads screens meant for a person.

Two things follow. The tool breaks the moment the app changes a screen, and a live login now sits inside software you did not write. For a money app, that is a lot to accept for one chart.

What each state means in practice

A beta connector is real progress, but it can change or pause. A waitlist means there is nothing to paste in yet. No API at all means a CSV export is your only supported way out.

If the aim is to ask an assistant about renewals and waste, you do not need the bank feed at all. You need the list of paid tools, with dates and owners on it.

What LemSubs does instead

LemSubs holds the list of what you pay for, what it costs and when it renews. It runs a hosted MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can read that list after you sign in once.

There is no bank login anywhere in it. You add subscriptions yourself, bring a CSV, or read a bank statement file on your own device. Your assistant gets the tidy list, not your bank.

Rocket MoneyNo. Rocket Money has no public API and no official MCP server. There is an open request on their own feedback board asking for a read-only MCP connector, so it is not built yet. The MCP servers you can find on GitHub are built by other people. They work by reusing your logged-in browser cookie, which means handing a live login to a tool you have to host yourself. The only supported way out of Rocket Money is a CSV export.2026-09-18https://rocketmoney.canny.io/feature-requests-for-web/p/add-mcp-ai-agent-connector-read-only
Monarch MoneyYes, in beta. Monarch runs its own MCP connector. Monarch publishes an MCP server URL you add to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Gemini CLI, then sign in to approve. It is still marked beta in their help centre, and it needs a paid Monarch account plus bank connections to hold any data.2026-09-18https://help.monarch.com/hc/en-us/articles/50207234679956-Monarch-MCP-Connector
Copilot MoneyIn beta, by waitlist. Copilot Money says its MCP is being tested. Copilot has a sign-up page for its assistant and MCP, and the same waitlist covers both. So there is no open MCP URL you can paste in today. The MCP servers on GitHub are built by other people and read the local Copilot database on your Mac.2026-09-20https://agent.copilot.money/
MintNo. Mint closed in March 2024, so there is nothing to connect. Intuit shut Mint down and pointed people to Credit Karma. There is no Mint API and no Mint MCP server. If you still search for one, you are really looking for a new tracker, and anything you saved from Mint has to come in as a file.2026-09-20https://www.theverge.com/2024/3/22/24109180/its-time-to-wave-goodbye-to-mint-intuits-free-budgeting-app
SpendeeNo. Spendee does not publish a supported public API. The community MCP server for Spendee says so on its own front page, and warns that it talks to a private endpoint that can stop working at any time. So an assistant can only read Spendee data through an unofficial tool you run yourself.2026-09-18https://github.com/gibsn/mcp-spendee
