A subscription tracker MCP server built around real renewal data
LemSubs exposes your subscription register as a hosted MCP server. An authorised assistant can list what you pay for, calculate recurring costs, find renewals and unused subscriptions, and cite the exact records behind its answer.

Questions the subscription tracker MCP can answer
The server works with structured subscription records rather than a generic transaction feed. That means an assistant can reason about billing cycles, renewal dates, refund windows, seat utilisation and one-time lifetime deals without guessing what a card charge represents.
- What renews in the next 30 days?
- Which subscriptions look unused?
- How much am I spending annually on recurring software?
- Show lifetime deals still inside their refund window.
What the server reads and what it never receives
The assistant reads only the LemSubs fields covered by the scopes you approve. It does not receive bank credentials, full card numbers or stored passwords. Multi-currency totals remain separated unless an explicit conversion is available, so the server does not quietly add unlike currencies.
Every tool call is written to the MCP audit log. Revoke the connector or key and access stops immediately.
What LemSubs does instead
LemSubs holds the list of what you pay for, what it costs and when it renews. It runs a hosted MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can read that list after you sign in once.
There is no bank login anywhere in it. You add subscriptions yourself, bring a CSV, or read a bank statement file on your own device. Your assistant gets the tidy list, not your bank.
- Reads and writes are separate, and writes start switched off.
- One key per assistant, so you can remove one without breaking the rest.
- Every call an assistant makes is written to your audit log.
Questions people ask
What is a subscription tracker MCP server?
It is a Model Context Protocol server that lets an authorised AI client query and, when separately permitted, update a structured subscription register.
Can it calculate annual recurring expense?
Yes. The recurring-cost tool normalises monthly, annual, weekly and credit-based entries into an annualised figure while keeping each currency separate.
Can the MCP server cancel subscriptions for me?
No. It can show recorded cancellation deadlines, return a public cancellation guide, and archive or mark a LemSubs record as cancelled. It does not submit a cancellation to the vendor.
