1. LemSubs Teams

Best overall — workspace-per-context, LTD tracking, accountant exports

Verdict: Agencies have a unique shape: a long internal SaaS stack, a stack of LTDs bought during AppSumo blackouts, and a separate set of subscriptions that get passed through to clients. LemSubs is the only tool we tested that models all three (subs, LTDs, domains) and lets you separate them with workspaces. The 'no bank linking' part also means you can give a junior team member access without exposing the agency's operating account.

Strengths: Workspace-per-client (or one 'Internal' + one 'Pass-Through') keeps reporting clean; LTDs tracked with break-even math — most trackers ignore them; Multi-currency with rate snapshots for client invoicing.

Trade-offs: Manual / CSV import only; Per-workspace 6-member cap (buy more workspaces).

Best for: Agencies running 10+ tools across an internal stack plus client pass-throughs, with AppSumo / RocketHub LTDs in the mix.

Skip if: You want auto-detection from a single agency credit card.

Pricing: Pro $7.99/mo solo; Teams $11.99/mo per workspace (verified 2026-04-28). Bank login: No. Free plan: 10 subs.

2. TrackMySubs

Veteran web tool with cheap multi-user team plans

Verdict: TrackMySubs is the closest thing to LemSubs for agencies that don't care about LTD tracking. Multi-user, multi-currency, no bank linking, cheap. The interface looks 2014 but the data is right.

Strengths: Generous free tier; Cheap team plans, multi-currency; No bank link.

Trade-offs: UI feels dated; No LTD model.

Best for: Agencies on a tight budget that already live in spreadsheets.

Skip if: You want a modern interface, native mobile, or LTD tracking.

Pricing: Free; paid from $5/mo (verified 2026-04-28). Bank login: Optional. Free plan: 10 subs.

3. Rocket Money

Best for agencies billing everything to one corporate card

Verdict: Rocket Money is excellent at finding charges and bad at modeling agencies. If your entire operation is one founder, one card, no client pass-throughs, it's the lowest-friction option. Beyond that, the lack of multi-user and multi-cost-center will hurt within a quarter.

Strengths: Auto-detects every recurring charge; Concierge cancellation/negotiation; Polished apps.

Trade-offs: Plaid required on the agency account; Single-user model.

Best for: Tiny agencies (1–3 people) running everything off one card who want auto-detection.

Skip if: You have multiple cards, multi-currency, or any client pass-through model.

Pricing: $6–$12/mo, choose-your-price (verified 2026-04-28). Bank login: Required. Free plan: None.

4. Bobby

Best free pick for one-person agencies on iPhone

Verdict: Bobby is fine while you're a solo consultant calling yourself an agency. The day you bring on your first contractor or your first AppSumo lifetime deal, you outgrow it.

Strengths: Unlimited subs free; On-device, no signup; Beautiful native iOS.

Trade-offs: iOS only, single-device; No team, no LTD model, no exports beyond CSV.

Best for: Solo agency owners on iOS who want a clean list and nothing else.

Skip if: You have a team, web access need, or LTDs to track.

Pricing: Free (one-time $1.99 unlock) (verified 2026-04-28). Bank login: No. Free plan: Unlimited.

5. Wallos (self-hosted)

Best for dev-led agencies that already self-host

Verdict: If your agency already runs its own infrastructure, Wallos costs nothing to add. The trade-off is the maintenance — a tracker container that hasn't been updated in 8 months is the kind of thing agencies forget about until something breaks.

Strengths: Free forever; Multi-user; Owns the data.

Trade-offs: Requires hosting; No LTD model, no native mobile.

Best for: Agencies with a Coolify / Dokku setup and a dev who'll maintain it.

Skip if: You don't have someone to keep the container patched.

Pricing: Free (self-hosted) (verified 2026-04-28). Bank login: No. Free plan: Unlimited.

Agencies have a different problem: client cost-of-goods, not own SaaS

An agency tracking subscriptions needs to answer two questions a regular SaaS-spend tool can't: which subscriptions are billable to a specific client, and what's the gross margin on the rebilled portion. A 12-person creative agency we interviewed in March 2026 ran 47 active subs across 8 client retainers; only 14 were 'agency overhead', the rest were billable.

That changes the data model. The required fields are vendor -> cost -> currency -> billing-frequency -> billable-to (client) -> rebill-amount -> rebill-frequency -> margin. None of the consumer-grade trackers ship this natively; LemSubs has a custom-field workaround that 3 of the 5 we tested adopted, and TrackMySubs has the closest to native support via its 'tags' field.

Underrated: currency. Agencies serving international clients are paying Adobe in USD, Notion in USD, Canva in AUD, and Linear in USD while invoicing the client in GBP or EUR. A tracker that doesn't convert at the actual charge-day FX rate (rather than today's spot) understates COGS — and the only two tools we tested that nail this are LemSubs and a niche bookkeeping integration we mention but didn't rank.

Frequently asked questions

How should agencies separate internal SaaS from client pass-through subs?

Workspaces. LemSubs Teams supports separate workspaces per cost center; TrackMySubs uses tags. Either approach works — pick the one whose UI you'll actually maintain.

Do any trackers handle AppSumo / lifetime deals?

LemSubs is the only one we tested that models LTDs as a separate item type with break-even math. Other trackers force you to record them as one-off purchases that then disappear from monthly views.

What about multi-currency for international clients?

LemSubs and TrackMySubs both convert at current rates and snapshot the rate per renewal — important for invoice reconciliation. Rocket Money is USD-first.

Is there a SaaS-management platform for agencies instead?

Vendr, Zylo, and Productiv exist but assume 50+ employees and SOC2-grade procurement. For agencies under 30 people they're overkill — a tracker is the right tool.

Can clients see their own subscription pass-throughs?

Not natively in any tracker. The pattern that works is: agency keeps the master in LemSubs, exports a per-client CSV with the monthly invoice.

What LemSubs does

Why no bank connection

Every other tracker on the market — Rocket Money, Mint, Bobby, Trim — asks for your bank credentials through Plaid. LemSubs does not. You add subscriptions manually, forward a receipt, or import a CSV. Your bank stays your bank.
